How do I decode HVC's model number coding system?
HVC uses a structured alphanumeric part number system that encodes key parameters directly into the model name:
Capacitor Format Example: `HVCT8G-40K-1N2-J`
HVCT8G → Product family (High Voltage Ceramic Terminal 8mm Gap) -40K → Voltage rating (40kV DC rated) -1N2 → Capacitance code (1N2 = 1.2nF = 1200pF) -J → Tolerance (J = ±5%)Resistor Format Example: `HVRGXP-50K-100M-F`
HVRGXP → Product family (High Voltage Resistor Glass-sealed Xtra Power) -50K → Voltage rating (50kV working voltage) -100M → Resistance value (100 MΩ) -F → Tolerance (F = ±1%)Diode Format Example: `HVD-30K-100MA-FR`
HVD → Product family (High Voltage Diode) -30K → Reverse voltage rating (30kV VRRM) -100MA → Average forward current (100mA) -FR → Speed grade (Fast Recovery, trr ≤ 80ns)Common Suffix Codes:
* -GP = Gold-plated terminations
* -HERM = Hermetic/sealed package
* -LF = Low-inductance variant
* -DL = Double-layer construction
* -CUST = Custom specification (see attached drawing)
